Whether used as the foundation for a meal, or just as a side, this versatile and economic root vegetable has special place on our plates, and in our hearts! There are so many different ways to prepare and season potatoes. Here are a few of ours!
Although it is probably the best side for a juicy steak, the baked potato easily stands on its own as well. Start with one of our flavorful seasoning blends and customize with your favorite toppings for a “vegetable” that eats like a meal!
Our smoky and savory Shake Your Bacon seasoning is the perfect compliment to the starchy flavor of a baked potato. Top with melted butter and/or sour cream and you have a truly blissful eating experience. (Trust us, its really good). Also try on potato wedges!
You really can’t go wrong with Ranch on a potato! Our Ranch Dip & Dressing Mix combines the rich flavor of buttermilk with fresh dill and chives, along with the bite of black pepper. Add in sour cream, green onions, bacon, and sharp cheddar for a “loaded” potato.
The bold, yet simple flavors of black pepper, dill and garlic in this popular blend are an excellent choice for baked potato purists. Top with melted butter.
French Fries & Potato Wedges
Crispy, golden brown slices of potato awesomeness! French fries are really what we think of when it comes to potatoes. Try out these seasonings on your next batch of homemade fries or potato wedges. Or shake them on a pre-made batch from the freezer for extra flavor!
This multipurpose blend is one of our favorites for fries and wedges. A variety of flavors from salt, onion and garlic, to celery seed, cumin and turmeric add complex flavor to naturally bland potatoes. You may even find yourself bringing it along on the next trip to your favorite burger joint!
Yeah, we put this on everything, and fries are no exception! Just try it!
If cheesy fries are a favorite of yours, shake on some of our Cheddar Jalapeno Sprinkle! Real cheddar cheese and spicy jalapeno are the perfect compliment to a crispy fry. For a less spicy alternative, try our White Cheddar Garlic Seasoning.
Tangy blue cheese combines with fresh dill and spicy black pepper for a sophisticated and decadent french fry upgrade! Top with blue cheese crumbles (and maybe a little bacon) for even more flavor!
If you prefer a more simple approach to french fries, give our Fleur De Sel finishing salt a try! Fleur de Sel is commonly referred to the “caviar of salts” and is regarded by many chefs as the best of all sea salts. It has a delicate, moist texture, and sweet, rich flavor that naturally compliments crispy, golden fries! Sprinkle on after cooking to maintain the integrity of this delicate spice.
Fried Potatoes or Potato Hash
Fried potatoes are a great side for just about any protein, and they make a great base for a one-pot dinner. Their mild flavor makes flavoring possibilities nearly endless, but here are a few of our favorites!
Our Homestyle Seasoning is comfort food flavor at its finest! This seasoning is a great addition to breakfast fried potatoes or hash browns, as it works well with the richness of eggs and breakfast meats.
Smoky, herbaceous flavors with a touch of cumin make our Chimichurri Seasoning perfect for a potato hash. Add in chorizo or ground beef, bell peppers and/or chilies and your favorite kind of beans for a hearty and delicious meal!
Another favorite for potato hash, Our Green Chili Seasoning Blend balances bold green chili perfectly with classic Mexican flavors. It is also a favorite for hash brows, as it pairs well with eggs and sausage. We even love it on a plate of cheesy fries!
Add spicy Louisiana flavor to a potato hash with bell peppers, smoked sausage and shrimp with our Creole Seasoning! This seasoning is a blend of black, red and white pepper, along with additional herbs and spices. Although our Creole Seasoning is not as hot as our Cajun Spice, it is still a great seasoning for adding a bit of “zing” to any dish.
Roasted potatoes are a classic side for Christmas dinners with Prime Rib. They also make a great addition for just about any roast, steak or pork chop. If you are looking for a healthier option, try substituting radishes or broccoli.
Rosemary is the dominant flavor in our Roast Rub, with lingering notes of garlic, pepper, and onion. These flavors pair exceptionally well with red potatoes. Toss potatoes or radishes in olive oil, sprinkle with seasoning, then roast in the oven or air fryer.
The fragrant herbs dill and tarragon combine with citrus, black pepper and caraway to make our Scandinavian Spice an excellent choice for potatoes. These flavors work well with red potatoes, Yukon golds, russets, and even radishes. Toss in olive oil, sprinkle with seasoning and roast in the oven or air fryer until tender.
Nothing says comfort food like smooth and creamy mashed potatoes. A great side for summer or winter meals, mashed potatoes are nicely complemented with just salt, black pepper and a little butter. However, if you want to take your mashed potatoes to the next level, check out some of our favorite seasonings!
The name of this seasoning may make it seem like a strange choice for potatoes, however, its classic flavors like sea salt, black pepper, onion, and garlic make it the perfect option! The addition of a touch of chipotle pepper for heat make it one of our favorites!
