April 19th is National Garlic Day! No matter the cuisine or cooking style, there always seems to be a place for garlic at the table. Celebrate this amazing seasoning with all of our favorite garlic-infused products!
Garlic is native to central Asia, however it quickly spread to the Mediterranean, Europe, and all other areas of the world. As one of the oldest known spices grown and cultivated for consumption, it is still one of the most popular today. It can now be found throughout the world, with some of the highest quality coming from California.
Individual Garlic Products
Our individual garlic products are an essential part of any well-stocked spice cabinet. We offer many different options, depending on texture and intensity a dish may require. All of our dried garlic products make wonderful substitutions for fresh garlic.
Try our garlic granules as a substitute for fresh garlic when you need flavor but not texture. Garlic granules can be used as a substitute for fresh garlic at a rate of ½ – ¾ tsp. per whole clove. We especially love garlic granules for blends and rubs as they are less sticky than garlic powder.
Garlic powder can be used as a replacement for fresh garlic, but be sure to only use 1/8 tsp. per clove called for in the recipe, as it is quite intense in this powdered form. If you are looking to cut back on your salt consumption, try replacing each ½ tsp. salt with 1/8 tsp. garlic powder. Garlic powder works great for stews, soups and sauces because it dissolves quickly and completely.
Minced garlic is a great substitute for fresh garlic, especially if you are looking for that “fresh” texture. Simply soak the garlic in warm water for 15-30 minutes and use as fresh. Roughly ¾ tsp of flakes is equivalent to 1 clove of garlic.

Santa Maria barbecue originated in the Santa Maria Valley in California during the mid-19th century. Rancheros would gather to help each other brand their calves in the spring. To thank the vaqueros (America’s first cowboys), the host would serve Spanish-style barbecue cooked over a red-oak fire and seasoned with a simple rub of garlic, salt and black pepper.
Our Santa Maria Rub includes all of the ingredients of the traditional seasoning, along with a few additional herbs and spices. We love this seasoning on large cuts of beef like roasts and brisket, but it is also excellent on steaks, pork chops, chicken, and fish.
Garlic meets Greek in this Mediterranean-style blend! Our Mojito Lime Seasoning is the perfect way to bring the fresh tastes of summer to every meal, with notes of spearmint, basil, oregano and citrus in addition to garlic. We love this seasoning on chicken, fish, seafood, veggies, and pork chops. Also try sprinkling on green salads, pico de gallo and pasta salads!
Pronounced “mo-ho,” in Spanish, this Cuban-style Mojo Seasoning combines bright citrus flavors with garlic, cumin and cilantro. Use as rub on pork loin and chops, mix into pulled pork tacos, or shake on chicken, fish and veggies. Combine with olive oil and lime juice for a marinade perfect for pork or skirt steak!
Our Garlic Salt is a simple blend that is a must-have for any spice cabinet! Try sprinkling on fries, burgers, popcorn, breads, salad, or almost anything else that needs an extra “garlic” kick.
White Cheddar Garlic Seasoning is the perfect blend of rich, cheesy goodness and savory garlic! Absolutely wonderful on popcorn, this blend also makes a great addition to dips, cheese balls and hearty soups (like potato and beer cheese). Try sprinkling on potatoes, veggies, bagels, and toast as well for a cheesy treat!
Our Chive and Garlic Dip Mix combines classic flavors that make it perfect for any gathering, whether you’re serving chips, crackers or veggies. Simply add 1-2 tbsp mix to 1-2 cups sour cream. Blend well, cover and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
