So you’ve finished processing all your pork and wild game into every sausage you could think of, but you still have some seasoning left over. Here are a few ideas of how to use up those extra spices! Or buy another jar, these blends are great for a variety of other dishes outside of sausage! (Lacey’s favorite is our Italian Sausage Seasoning; it pretty much goes on everything.)
Bratwurst Seasoning: Our Bratwurst Seasoning is combination of savory spices like cayenne, paprika, and nutmeg with the fresh herb flavors of rosemary and sage. This seasoning is a great option for burgers, chicken wings and turkey legs. Black pepper and mustard round out this blend by contributing additional depth of flavor, perfect for grilled meats.
Chorizo Sausage: The authentic Mexican flavors found in our Chorizo Sausage Seasoning make it an excellent seasoning for tacos, burritos, and chili. For an exciting breakfast twist, add to eggs or potato hash. This blend is even delicious when sprinkled on black bean burgers!
Polish Sausage: With a foundation of paprika, garlic and black pepper, accented by marjoram, savory and caraway, our Polish Sausage Seasoning is a great all-purpose blend! Sprinkle on roast meats and veggies. Or try adding it to soups, bean dishes and casseroles as well!
Italian Sausage: Our Italian Sausage Seasoning is incredibly versatile. This yummy seasoning is packed with traditional Italian flavors like fennel, garlic and red pepper, along with oregano, basil and parsley. This blend is a great addition to any Italian dish. Try sprinkling on pizza, or add it to marinara sauces and soups (especially tortellini). For an unexpectedly delicious breakfast, add our Italian Sausage Seasoning to your scrabbled eggs, breakfast sandwich, or spinach and ham frittata (It’s really good with eggs).
Breakfast Sausage: Traditional breakfast sausage flavors like nutmeg, sage, marjoram and thyme make our Breakfast Sausage Seasoning a wonderful blend for poultry like roast chicken and turkey. Or add to an egg and potato hash for a tasty breakfast!
Wild Game Sausage: An obvious choice for game meats like deer and elk, our Wild Game Sausage Seasoning also adds unique flavor to burgers and steak. Sprinkle on chicken wings, pork chops and eggs as well!
Andouille Sausage: Slightly spicy, with delicious herb flavors, our Andouille Sausage Seasoning is a flavorful Cajun-style blend. It is a great addition to Creole dishes like jambalaya, etouffe or gumbo.
