Summer Savory is one of the most versatile herbs around.  It is thought to have originated in the Mediterranean, but is now widely grown throughout the United States.  Savory has a peppery flavor with a clean, but slightly piney, smell.

Savory makes a wonderful addition to many soups, beans, meat pies, stuffing, potatoes, dressings, and almost any roasted meat. It is also popular in summer sausage and salami recipes.
