Ingredients:
- 5 lbs potatoes cooked and mashed (russet, red, or yukon)
- 8 oz cream cheese
- 1 ½ cups sour cream
- 4 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp garlic salt
- 1 ½ tsp sea salt
- 2 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Directions:
- Peel and dice potatoes. Cook in boiling water until done (when you can easily penetrate with fork)
- Add potatoes to large bowl or stand mixer. Whip potatoes with stand mixer or hand mixer until few chunks remain. Add in remaining ingredients. Mix well. Taste. Add more salt, garlic, and onion powder to taste. It may be none, it may be double depending on taste and the potatoes used.
- Mix well and add to crock pot.
- On the day you want to serve, turn slow cooker to low and cook 5-6 hours, or until potatoes are warm all the way through. Since potatoes are technically precooked, there is no minimum cook time.
