This super easy iced coffee recipe is the perfect way to enjoy a cool, caffeinated drink during the hot summer months! Customize with you favorite coffee flavors and sweeteners! We our favorite coffee flavors for this recipe include: French Roast, City Roast Colombian, White Russian, Swiss Chocolate Almond, and Crème Brûlée.
Ingredients:
For Simple Syrup:
1 cup water
½ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Iced Coffee:
1 8 oz. cup coffee, room temperature*
1-1 1/2 cups ice cubes
1/8-1/4 cup vanilla simple syrup**
1/4 cup half-and-half or milk of your choice
*Brew your coffee a bit stronger to ensure the best coffee flavor after adding ice.
**Substitute hazelnut creamer, caramel sauce or any other sweetener of your choice for the vanilla simply syrup.
Directions:
Prepare the vanilla simple syrup:

In a medium-size saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the white sugar and water until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and whisk in the vanilla extract. Cool completely.
Assemble your iced coffee:

Take a large glass and fill it ⅔ of the way with ice cubes. Add 1 cup of coffee to the glass, ⅛-¼ cup of simple vanilla syrup, and ¼ cup of half and half cream.

Stir well to mix.
